In the real world, SUBWAY is the world’s biggest purveyor of sandwiches. But online, they don’t get the credit they deserve. So on National Sandwich Day, the most important day of the year, we wanted to own it, and steal back their rightful spot.
We capitalized on what people do most online on National Sandwich Day; share their love for sandwiches. So we did what you’d imagine the world’s biggest lover of sandwiches would do: treat National Sandwich Day like their Valentine’s Day. We created a day-long war room with 75 custom sub love templates that could be customized and sent to any Twitter users who mentioned terms like National Sandwich Day, sandwich, or sub. We even sent them to fans mailboxes.
